In a special ceremony hosted today by Barnardos Australia, and presented by His Honour Mr Tom Pauling AO QC, Administrator of the Northern Territory, Joan Stokes of Adelaide River was announced as the Northern Territory Mother of the Year in the 2009 Barnardos Australia's  Mother of the Year Awards.
